Hi! I’m Monica Dabney, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years counseling experience with children, adolescents, adults, and families in several settings to include group home, long term care, residential, intensive in-home, private, and outpatient. I obtained a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. My theoretical framework consists of using an integrative approach with an emphasis on client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, family systems, and solutions focused interventions. My areas of focus include trauma, emotional and behavioral stressors, relationships, life changes, and transitions. The first step to seeking change is you. Making yourself mentally fit is an uncomfortable process, but with time, you will begin to understand yourself differently, building a new path and developing new worldviews. Being brave is listening to your knowing, doing what is beautiful, and finding direction on your path for healing.
